I first met Adri + Colin in a distant part of Mt. Hood National Forest. They showed up for their engagement session dressed in a suit and a stunning ball gown (practically a wedding dress). That session was such a wonder. Their passion for nature, adventure, and each other is every photographer's dream.
Nearly a year later and in a different forest, I got to witness their intimate wedding at Horning’s Hideout. With loving vows and many silly faces made, they made it official. I loved shooting among the ferns, and all the many beautiful elements that I gravitate towards aesthetically: his blue suit and her flower crown, the small chapel among the trees, and her vibrant bouquet, but my absolute favorite part of the day was the overwhelming joy radiating off of both of them.
During Adri + Colin’s first dance on the lawn, their friends and family encircled them. It was a moment that encapsulates so much of what weddings are about to me: the love of two people, surrounded and supported by those who love them.
All things considered, this was one of my favorite weddings I shot this year. Congratulations Adri + Colin!
